INTRODUCTION 

Adhatoda vasica is used widely in Ayurvedic medicine. The entire plant from root to leaves is used to treat numerous illnesses. However, the leaves are the most potent. This herb helps treat asthma, tuberculosis, bronchitis and countless other diseases. It is also used as an anthelmintic, antispasmodic, antiseptic, expectorant and bronchodilator.  

  

The leaves from this efficacious plant contain alkaloid, vasicine and essential oil.
